Mr G’s feeling a bit poorly and Ms S has over indulged in every possible sense in Cognac, so fruit and vegetables are very much on the cards. Cue Salad Bar cocktails at Pearl Restaurant & Bar. We’ve heard that head barman Anthony Balik and head chef Jun Tanaka have combined their talents in the taste department to create an inspirational summer cocktail menu including The Greek (Gin Mare with a delicate tomato consommé and fresh tomato, refreshed with cucumber ice cubes and served with feta and olive salad). Sure beats a wheat grass shot…
The green theme continues with an absinthe tasting at Purl (well, there’s only so much semi-detoxing cocktail lovers can take). Then it’s judging a cocktail competition for Societe Perrier London at one of our favourite bars, Saf and sampling the tasty new menu at The Loft in Clapham featuring 27 homemade ingredients.
