Mix up a Zombie

Staying in for trick or treaters this Halloween? Get in to the spirit of the occasion by mixing these scary sounding cocktails created by the team at The Living Room…

Zombie

15ml Plantation Overproof or Wray & Nephew rum
15ml Havana Seven or any gold rum
15ml Goslings Black or any dark rum
15ml Briottet Apricot or any apricot liqueur such as De Kuyper or Bols
90ml pineapple juice
15ml lemon juice
15ml lime juice
15ml Monin Passion Fruit syrup
Dash of Angostura Bitters

Method:
Put ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake well then strain the liquid into a pint glass filled with crushed ice. Add another scoop of ice on the top and garnish with lime and lemon slices and a sprig of mint. Finally, add a straw.

Corpse Reviver #2

25ml Tanqueray gin
20ml Cointreau or Triple Sec
25ml Lillet Blanc, Martini Bianco or Cinzano Bianco
25ml lemon juice
3-4 drops Absinthe

Method:
Put ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Strain through a fine tea strainer into a chilled cocktail glass. To garnish, drop in a Maraschino cherry or plastic eyeball!

Blood & Sand

25ml Monkey Shoulder or any blended scotch
25ml Cherry Marnier or any cherry brandy
3 x squeezed orange wedges

Method:
Put ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake well with ice and strain the liquid into a glass filled with cubed ice. Garnish with squeezed orange.

Deadly Nightshade

25ml vodka
25ml orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier
25ml cranberry juice
25ml grapefruit juice
15ml grenadine
Squeezed lime

Method:
Put ingredients into a shaker and shake well with ice. Strain and serve in a chilled martini glass.
