Throughout the month: Back To Cocktail School

Perfect as a teambuilding exercise or simply for a group of like-minded friends, these bespoke classes take in a tutored tasting of The Four Cocktail Golden Ages with bar manager Andrea Montague. The group is then divided up and the nominated rep has to make a cocktail worthy of the £50 bar tab* awarded as the prize. Bookings for 10-25 people; £40-£50 per head.

7 February: Charles Dickens Bicentenary

Raise a glass to Charles Dickens on what would have been his 200th birthday. The Booking Office Bar at St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel is offering the Charles Dickens Punch based on the author’s own personal recipe blending rum, cognac, sugar, lemon juice and boiling water, available at £8 a glass or £90 for a bowl for 12.

7-9 February: Dickens’ 200th Anniversary Party

10 February: Pamflet’s Heartbreaker Ball

DJ Pamflet plays her favourite getting dumped records in Drink Shop Do’s ‘dirty secret’ set in a former strip joint in King’s Cross. Expect DJs and dancing plus speciality cocktails made up from 30 boutique gins and infusions. We’re intrigued by the Big Black Disco Balls and Peep Holes but knowing these guys, it’s going to be a little bit cheeky and a whole lot of fun.

Masks are a must at this lush Last Tuesday Society ball in the splendid Georgian vaults at 9 Adam Street.
