In case it’s slipped your mind, it’s Father’s Day on Sunday 17th June. Forget buying a rubbish sweater or naff tie, show him you care by mixing up this special cocktail created by Amit Sood from Shaker School. Using Benedictine as a base it combines just the right balance of citrus and sweet to hit the right note with dads everywhere.

Who’s The Daddy?

50ml Bénédictine
30ml lemon juice
2 spoons good bitter marmalade
1 fresh egg white
1 dash Angostura bitters

Method:
Crack a fresh egg white into a Boston glass. Add the fresh lemon juice followed by the marmalade and bitters. Finally, add the Benedictine. Finish with ice and seal with Boston tin. Shake hard for five to seven seconds. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass and garnish with an orange twist. Serve to dad with a smile.
