Caribbean flavours for the Bank Holiday

Whether you’re heading to Notting Hill to soak up the riddims and wine-up your waist for Carnival or keeping it low key at home, it would be rude not to celebrate the last Bank Holiday before Christmas without a cocktail. Here are a couple of simple recipes – one alcoholic, one not – to bring a nice glow to your cheeks whatever the weather decides to do with itself…

Tropical Bubbly

15ml Monin Caribbean syrup
10ml Monin Ginger syrup
30ml light rum
Soda water

Method:
Pour ingredients into a glass filled with ice cubes. Top with soda water. Stir and serve.

Caribbean Frappe (mocktail)

10ml Monin Caribbean syrup
20ml Monin Vanilla syrup
1 shot espresso
70ml milk

Method:
Pour ingredients in a shaker. Add ice cubes. Spindle mix for 10 seconds. Pour into cocktail glass filled with ice cubes.
