You don’t have to be American to join in the Thanksgiving celebrations today – consider it an early Christmas feast. Book your place at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT at 45 Park Lane for a sumptuous dinner with all the trimmings (turkey, cranberry, sweet potato etc probably a darned sight fancier than your mother used to make), or go for the wondrous offerings upstairs in the bar…
We tried Stefano Cossio’s exceptionally tasty Thanksgiving Cocktail (okay, maybe we had a couple – they were soooo good) made up of bourbon, port, lemongrass syrup, pomegranate and just enough fresh ginger to give it a welcome kick. Paired with the dinky Thanksgiving Pie Sliders including melt-in-the-mouth delicious pumpkin, pecan and apple delights specially created to celebrate the flavours of the season it was all we could do to stop ourselves singing the ‘Star-Bangled Banner’ as we indulged.
