Mmm, hot chocolate – good on its own but absolutely delish with some whisky added to the mix. This recipe has been created by the team at Galvin @ Windows, so if it’s good enough for them we don’t think you or your guests will have any complaints (unless of course they don’t like chocolate. Or whisky. Or milk.) Oh well, you can’t please everyone… More recipes coming tomorrow.

50ml Bowmore 15yo Darkest
15ml Ratafia Cherry liqueur
10ml cinnamon syrup
250ml whole milk
1 bag (11 grams) Fair Trade Cadbury’s hot chocolate

Method:

Warm milk in a pan and mix with hot chocolate straight in a teapot. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir together. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve hot in a teacup or for a cold version, follow the instructions and leave liquid to chill in the fridge for a couple of hours. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and serve over ice. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and a dusting of cocoa powder.
