If we could do a Doctor Who and step into a tardis, we’d don our fanciest attire, turn the dial to the Golden Era of Cocktails and head straight to The Savoy, circa 1929. Oh, the glamour of dressing up for those cabaret evenings; oh the joy of watching the greatest acts of the day whilst sitting with an expertly mixed Dry Martini in hand. Thankfully, we no longer need to wait for time travel to do its thing as we’ve just heard The Savoy’s Cabaret Evenings are back…
Held in The Beaufort Bar, the home of the original cabaret stage where the likes of George Gerschwin, Noel Coward and Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra once entertained, the 2012 reincarnation features the very naughty Holly Penfield and Dusty Limits and an array of titillating acts. If you’re looking for a great way to start your week, this one comes highly recommended – it’s the best fun we’ve had on a Sunday evening for quite some time.
The next performance takes place on Sunday 2 September and tickets are a very reasonable £25. To reserve places, call 020 7420 2111 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
